Course objectives
The core objectives of the courses are to:improve existing knowledge of grammar
enhance vocabulary
improve pronunciation, stress and intonation
further develop speaking and listening skills
consolidate writing and reading skills
compare and contrast cultural differences
provide contexts for cross-curricular links
develop intercultural awareness
where appropriate prepare students for their chosen examinations

Course methodology
The teachers use a wide variety of methods and approaches to make sure they suit different learning styles. Pair and group work activities are used to maximise opportunities for practising the language in class while appropriate tasks are set to ensure English is used outside the class.
